PhD-Level Instruction, Child-Centered Care
With a PhD in music theory/ Piano pedagogy and years of faculty experience at UNT and DBU, Dr. Yiyi Gao brings world-class expertise to your child’s weekly lesson. No matter what age or level you are, and what styles of music you like to play — pop, jazz, classical, or other contemporary music. We have many adults and kids starting from zero, and reading music notes during the first and second lesson, and playing pop music at the 3-4 lessons already. We move beyond ‘cookie-cutter’ methods to ensure a classically grounded, yet modernly relevant education.
